Job Opening for a Press Brake Operator

The CNC Press Brake Operator is responsible for the  operation of the press brake machine and associated equipment.

The duties associated with this job include but are not limited to:
•       Receive the daily production plan from the production supervisor
•       Setup and operate CNC and Manual Press brakes
•       Set up jobs according to work order priority in ERP or as instructed by supervisor
•       Use ERP interface to read drawings and work instructions
•       Sort and stage WIP and Finished Goods for subsequent operations
•       Product labeling
•       Quality Inspection on all parts produced on the press brake, including documentation of measured dimensions according to the Company documents and
•       Inventory management both physically and electronically (WCS ERP)
•       Communicating with production control supervisor and other operators to ensure material flow/throughput is maintained
•       Daily, weekly and monthly machine maintenance for second shift, including
the proper use and care of punches and dies.  Responsible for documenting and
communicating any problems found during maintenance routine

Requirements and Qualifications
•       Must possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
•       The ability to operate, set up, and program the CNC press brake is strongly
•       Basic math skills required
•       Basic Computer (PC) skills in a Windows environment required
•       Must be able to lift 70 lbs (35 Kg) independently
•       Must be able to walk easily around the machinery and materials and on rough
•       Must be able to read and interpret engineering prints and dimensions including metric measurements
•       Must be able to use inspection and measuring equipment to verify critical
dimensional requirements
•       Must have or be able to attain a fork lift certification
•       Must have good written and oral communication
•       Must be willing and able to wear all prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, hearing protection, protective clothing (uniform will be supplied), protective gloves and safety shoes
•       Must maintain a neat and orderly workplace
•       Responsible for preventing damage to equipment and facilities in order to
insure uninterrupted service to the customers
•       Must be a team player who is willing to do other assignments as needed
