Machining Tough Aluminum Extrusions With tight tolerances

We build fixtures to true up the parts before we machine them

Aluminum Extrusions come a little out of shape.  We build fixtures to true up the parts before we machine them.  In this video we are holding tolerances around .001″  This is really tricky when the part to begin with is out by more than .030″  At the end of the day we are able through innovative thinking to get the parts made so that that they fit up to the mating parts and are in tolerance.
